S13 not responding to gas pedal
Before you say anything I've been searching for a day or 2. I have a 93 240 KA with egr and charcoal canister delete. When I'm at the track sometimes while drifting the car will just stop responding to the gas pedal, the rpms will fall and then it'll just die. But I turn the key off and then it starts right back up. I checked my fuel pump, it read .6 ohms. I may have checked it wrong though. I just changed my tps sensor because my old one only read 8.5 ohms at WOT. I put the new one in, adjusted the idle at the iacv with the tps unplugged, then plugged it back in and tried to set it at the .45-.55 volts it needs. Now on the way to work the car would go back and forth responding to the pedal. I was holding my foot steady on the gas and the rpms would climb and start to drop, then climb again, then start to drop. Idk what the problem could be.

I feel like my car has the same problem as well but its not the rpm's its the speed. I go on 5th gear on the freeway and as i try applying more pressure on the gas, the car would stop from going any faster. it would climb then drop as well.

sounds like you're not getting steady fuel pressure. i would suggest getting a electric fuel pressure gauge and monitoring it when the problem occurs. also, make sure you have at least half a tank when you go make skids.

I always fill it before I go to the track but good tip thank you. I'm gonna have to look into the fuel pressure gauge. Would you recommend an adjustable regulator too?

And I'm pretty sure it's got an original fuel pump in it with 173k on the clock. Would it be wise to just replace the pump and see what happens?

When setting a tps should it be set at the resistance rating with the sensor unplugged or at the voltage on the signal wire when it's plugged in?
