the gasket under shifter plate on trans, i just got new b&m shifter and need ggasket that goes under it. well i go to advanced auto, and what else is new, but they couldnt find it sooo i was wondering if there is a certain name i should be lookin for or do i really need it i tried to remove from old but not happenin

Advance won't have it. Buy an OE gasket or use RTV and pray you never have to remove it.

the directions say to use rtv if original gasket is bad, but go to nissan and pick one up for 5 bux or so, tell em to pull up the shifter assembly diagram or some shit.
