3" silicon elbow and then homebrew the rest.

I think a 90* works better than a 45* but it really depends on your ps high pressure line setup.

Finally got my setup tuned after just cruising around on 8psi for like a year.

Car made 330whp on 20psi and didn't seem to be as responsive as I thought it was going to be. I believe the car was tuned a little rich just because of time restraints so I'm going back to lean it out a little and clean up the tune some and possibly up the boost. I am way more interest in response than an actual power number so Im just looking for ideas on what will help spool. Theres an event next weekend which will be my first with this tuned setup so I'll see how it feels. Some of the setup is..

GTX2863R at 20psi
93 pump gas
Peakboost turbo mani
Greddy style intake
PBM high mount IC
BC 264 cams
Stock compression

Been debating on going back to stock cams to shift the powerband back down as well as the OEM intake mani (or a different option) to help with low end power and tq

Someone embed this video for me cause it isn't working worth a damn haha

Im no expert, but i think something's not right.

20psi for that turbo with 264 deg cams sounds way low...

I'll get the dyno sheet later but i have the smaller .63ar housing and if i remember correctly it hit 20psi right around 4k which I also thought sucked haha. I plan on boost leak testing my manifold setup and see if Im losing psi anywhere

I just fitted and had had tuned a gtx2867r on my sr20.
Made 312kw (about 415hp) on 18psi and making full boost by about 3,600rpm. Absolutely stoked with how its going. Best turbo choice for an sr that i have come across so far.

Some of these brands are New Zealand made so you guys made now of heard of them.

JE Pistons
Eagle Rods
ACL bearings, head studs.
Cosworth head gasket.
Kelford cams full race port and polish
Tomei valve springs
Kelford 260 inlet and 266 exhaust with 11.5mm lift (lift is just as important if not more important than duration on SR's. Big duration cams do not nessisarily = big power.
Sinco customs exhaust manifold (look them up online they are awesome manifolds).
Tial 44mm v band wategate
3" full exhaust.
GTX2867r 0.63ar (i think) t25 style inlet and 5 bolt rear housing.
850cc injectors.
Standard intake mainfold and det throttle body.
Running rb25det gearbox.
Running link G1 ECU (again look up LINK ECU, best ECU's money can buy in my opinion.

312kw at the wheels at 18psi? What kind of dyno was that? That sounds like the best result so far from this turbo. Could you post up a dyno chart?

More like 22/24psi, if you were going there for diagnostics? you should have more data, knock, boost, afr, egt etc. With zero smoothing to compare with nds

I like it, but it looks more like a 2871r graph as compared to most gtx67r graphs, I've been seeing. The torque is lower, but stays true. That makes for a better powerband. Than the peeky mountainous dropoffs usually assoiciated with the gtx2867r imo.

I dont think it would be 22-24psi, I've never run more than 20psi before at all.

It was a quick dyno day, so they weren't hooking up all the sensors. It was as quick $50 for 3 pulls.

They did do AFR, but it only worked properly for 1 of the pulls because they had issues with machine first pull, then the wideband blew out of the exhaust on the last pull...kind of a bummer.

But I need more fuel up top. Its fat down low, and leaner than I want to be up top.

What spark plugs are you guys using that are in the 400hp range? Coppers or iridiums? And heat range 7 or 8 with good results?

I'm on 7's, currently coppers, but I've always run Iridium in the past, and will be changing these to Iridium as well.

I have been running BKR7eix's but will be switching to BKR8eix's once the new motor is broke in. I just run standard BKR6e's during break in.

Iridium plugs tend to burn through small contaminants, so they'll mask some problems. I run copper bkr7's, 400up

I did way in on your problem thread, but it was based on what I heard and your description of the issue, but if you switched from iridium to copper and then the issue occurred, then maybe Mike and I weren't that far off. Have you tried a different ecu?
Take a look in the cylinders after the issue occurs.
Or check the injectors for leaking or just a slow lazy injector.

Well, its had this problem the whole time since the new engine. But I may go ahead and throw a set of Iridiums in there like I used to run.

Havent tried a new ECU, I dont have anyone locally with the same setup to swap Rom tunes with.

Injectors should be good, they were just checked over and cleaned/flow tested by witch hunter just 1000 miles ago.

Here is my graph with the AFR shown, and the smoothing set to 0. Looks like I need to find a way to add some more fuel after 5500rpm

^ Holy crap! Anything over 11.8 A/F in boost means you are sitting on a ticking time bomb! I am surprised the tuner didn't shut it off at about 6K RPM!

That would really depend on what fuel he's running.

Im baffled and amazed at the same damn time. I would have expected to see more jagged peeks, with an afr plot like that. Have you looked at the fuel pressure regulator? Did your incar wideband look like that too? Or did it log different? Did you run out of injector? Was there any knock?
