Arrow Weight Page

Lets start a thread of how much parts off of your car weigh. Windows, door panels, seats, Motors, tranny, anything you have removed from your car, and have weighed.

This will give people insite into what is worth removing from the car, for weight reduction.

Here are some things i weighed today.

S14 rear bumper reinforcement. 23 Lbs
S14 front bumper rein. 19 Lbs
S13 power window door glass 16 lbs each
S13 power window door glass frames and motors 9 lbs each

S14 stock gas tank 31 lbs
Z32 stock gas tank 28 lbs
Gtp s14.5 fenders 3 lbs
S15 head lights 4 lbs each
Koyo S13 aluminum radiator 9 lbs
Stock s13 radiator 5lbs.

Now after we have enough info i will put together an organized page of typically removed parts from the s chassis. This will make it easier to see how much something weighs before you decide to remove it.
We can allso add aftermarket parts weights. For comparisons.
Such as intercooler weights, turbo weights, etc. This way you will be able to calculate your exact weight before you install the products.

Lets give it a try.

The coilovers are not going to fix front and rear weight as well as they can fix cross weights. Getting the front lighter isn't all that easy but you can make a difference up there.

Headlight motors, battery moved behind the firewall somewhere, remove power steering (requires a belt for the water pump), remove AC system.

Those are all relatively easy things to do that are more or less free. After that you can replace some parts with lighter ones- wheels and tires, brakes (depending on what you had up there in the first place)
the hood (quite a heavy piece that you can drop 30lb from easily), fenders for a very slight amount, front bumper supports and reinforcements or a new bumper all together. You can dump the entire headlight assembly for a few more lbs, relocate the wiring harness to the interior side of the firewall, cut excess weight off of various bolts in the engine bay, remove the EGR equipment, get a lighter exhaust, or remove the clutch return line loop.
