91 240SX KA24DE rebuild questions
Hello fellow zilvians!
I am rebuilding my 91 ka24de for N/A POWAH (for now) and I want to make sure my plans will work n I'm doing it right. I was thinking about a 200-210 crank HP goal. My build is looking as follows: Sohc pistons 11.1:1 w/ a 20 over bore Cam swap 248/232 or 248/248 Cold air intake w/ k&n filter Throttle body/intake plenum spacer Thermal gaskets all around and thermal bypasses/wraps n such 4-2-1 headers and 2.5" exhaust with electric cutout Ps/AC delete Quest alternator Lightweight flywheel Clutch fan delete w/ electric fan on thermal switch Tripple core aluminum rad What I'm not sure about: Would high power ignition help? Will I need new injectors and or a tune? If I need a tune, if I track down a bikirom board will that work? Will I need a new intake manifold/large throttle body for these goals? Will I need intake/exhaust(mainly) porting for these goals? If down the road I want to run say, 4-5lbs of boost or whatever is needed for 250-275hp on 93-94 octane would it run or would it blow? I have a t25 n some other Turbo stuff but not enough $$$ for a rebuild anytime soon to forged internals. Thanks ![]() |
