If I loosen the spring on my Blitz DD, that lets air out more easily than if it was tight, right. With that said, is there any performance gain if I loosen it all the way? What's the consequences? I'd try it out, but my turbo went bad and I'm awaiting a new one.

If you loosen it too much, it won't hold boost correctly and it'll leak. That seems to be a major problem that people have with the Blitz DD. Look up old threads and you'll find that out.

EDIT: I meant that it was a problem with the SS. Whoops.

imo blitz sucks... but thats me... but to answer your question, the looser it is, you loose more air at idle making your idle unstable, and you leak more boost out... running atmospheric plus a looser BOV will increase lag as well...
but the blitze one is known to leak even when its tightened all the way... but i heard this for the SS... dont know about the DD...
