ok well i just bought 89 coupe. when the parkin lights are on all rear lights are lit. but when u hit brake the last one on left and inner one on right go out, for some reason. anyone have an idea what it could be. cause car wont pass inspection like that and i need it fixed now

check the bulbs ? if they are bad then replaces the bulbs ?

Check your tail light ground. On toyotas, the ground is scewed onto the taillight with another ground to chasis. Pretty common for toyotas.

You might have a couple of shorts in your wires..
check all your fuses and relays...

well i checked all fuses and relays and replaced all bulbs and still nuttin but havent checked grounds yet they looked good so i didnt mess with them

ok well it was the grounds on the bulbs 2 had melted and plastic got in between the screw and tab so thanx for everyones help
