Nissan 240sx S13 Air Regulator Assembly

On the Concept Z Performance website, they list multiple types of Nissan OEM Air Regulator Assemblies, most of which are for Skylines and 300ZXs and not for S13s. To be honest, they all look alike. I was wondering if I could use the Skyline GTS R32 and R33 versions on my stock S13, as they are very similar. Thank you.

My understanding of the air regulator is that it's calibrated to each engine which is why it's got a different part number for almost every application despite looking the same.

That said the way it works is, there's a bimetal strip, when the engine is cold the valve is open, as the engine warms up the ECU turns on a heater inside it which closes the valve.

You could probably get one from a different engine and it would probably work "OK". Your cold start idle speed might be a bit high or low. I can't say for sure what the effect would be.

I'd try to find one for an SR20DE/DET, that one is discontinued new from Nissan but was cheaper than the Skyline ones when I could find it. It came in a ton of US spec cars too like G20s and Sentras. 22660-93L00

Beyond that I would bet the R32 one is closest since it was used for both the R32 RB20 and RB26. 22660-01U10
