Angry Installed a deck, now the car doen't start... HEEELP!!

so i found my left over old ghetto JVC deck, i purchased the pigtail off of ebay for it, i wired everything up (because the plug that attaches from the wires in the car was cut off). deck doesn't work. I figured out that the entire accessory circuitry in my car doesn't work either. So i ran a wire from my battery into the car.

Took that 12v wire rann it to the 12v constant on the stereo. Took the accessory wire from the stereo and wired it into a switch then wired that to the afformentioned 12v battery wire. SWEET, stereo works, i now have tunes.

I go to start the car and it just cranks, sounsd like its not getting any fuel at all, and it certainly doesn't smell like fuel puddeling in my motor. So i reversed everything i did, disconnected my, again previously mentioned, jesus 12v wire. Disconnected my fuel pump kill switch so that it was no longer wired in. and tried to start the car. Same thing

==Lets check fuses==
fuel pump fuse is fine
ignition fuses are fine

I checked under the dash, and found 2 busted fuses, a 15amp and a 30amp, I replaced the 30amp with a 15amp one i had laying around to see if it would blow again when i tried to start the car. nothing, fuse didn't even blow.

the 15amp that was busted i replaced with another 15amper - did nothing.

helllppp

I found this and it might explain a lot about the old owner now knowing jack shit about cars... there isn't even a spot for a 30amp fuse on here
http://www.zilvia.net/f/attachment.p...achmentid=4700
im gonna go check these fuses out and see if they are major.

fuxx, just realized that's for an s14...

i have a 1990 fastback w/ an s13 blacktop.

Clock doesn't work = blown fuse.

Make sure you don't have your constant 12v or your accessory wires grounded or shorted.

well that's the thing. When i put the deck back in place, a wire grounded out - quick spark. However i checked all the fuses and all of them are straight except for 2. My main problem is i don't have a fuse cover on my under-dash box so im not sure what amp fuses are suppose to go where.

I have a chilton's on the way so hopefully that'll have something in it.

Download the FSM online for free, and throw out the Chiltons when you get it. There's nothing about fuses in it anyway.

Check all fuses, inside and out, then check the switch itself, you may have burned it out by bypassing the existing wiring.

you can get the FSMs from zeroyon.com - http://www.zeroyon.com/index/content/view/24/47/
you need acrobat reader for them.

Thanks for the download site. I still can't figure out what's wrong iwth it tho.

I'm on the verge of paying someone to do the work for me.

Also, maybe someone can take a pic of their fuse box cover from a 1990 s13 for me so that i can tell which fuses go to what accessory.

took it to the shop after 5 hours of trouble shooting. Apparently there's something screwed up with my body harness and everytime i disconnect the battery, or it dies, i need to reset the EGI relay or something so the ECU works. absolutely NO clue wtf that's about. The shop wired in a reset button for that relay so i jsut hit a button everytime i disconnect the battery...

So if someone ever has my same problem, there's the fix!
