Another quick tire stretching question...

Some Potenza S-03's have mysteriously fallen into my lap recently, oops...
Sized 245/40 R 17 all around.

Is it possible to get a "stretched" look over a 9.5 inch rim? what about a 9 inch rim? Anybody have this setup?

If not, what size tire do you recomment for 9 and 9.5 inch rims?

um, personally, i think a 235 on a 9" would look a bit stretched. i guess 245 would be a little stretched, but you wouldn't notice. i personally think a 215 looks too stretched on a 9", i think 225 looks cool.

no 245's won't look stretched on a 9 or 9.5

If ur doing it simply for the looks, I have one question for you...

when you hopped on, how big was the bandwagon?

Just curious.

I'm not doing it for the bandwagon. I hate the look of sidewalls, especially after seeing all these stretched tires. Personally, I do not know the performance benefits of stretching a tire over a rim, I only have guesses. But I think it looks good I think it's what I'm missing on my car.

Thats going to look good, but it might be expensive and hard to find. Unless of course they are not being used for drifting.
