It seems like a stock maf wouldn't be able to handle so many psi of boost. i think thats why they place it outside any preassurized piping.

MAFS are surpisingly durable and if you convert over to a sohc maf they are also cheap cant hurt to try it as a blow through

I have an HKS atmo BOV and the car runs like a champ but i have a MAP setup using a standalone

thats weird cause i have the sohc maf with a greddy type s atmos. and it runs liek a champ and doesnt bog at all.........all it does is run rich during shifts.
