stupid question but will a silvia hood fit in the trunk of a fastback?

probably not...think of the widths

the hood nearly covers the whole rear...while the trunk is about just as wide, the inside of the trunk will be much smaller

if you leave the hatch up and then put it in at an angle...MAYBE

but for good measure i'd just borrow someone's truck or big SUV so it dosent get messed up

correct, the hood will not, I already tried, and dont use an 88 4-runner, they won't fit in there either.

My S14 hood fit in the bed of a 98' Tacoma, barely, but just fine.

laying it upside down is pretty fuggin stupid. its best to put some towels on your roof, lay it down, then strap it down.

i fit a usdm s13 hood in my trunk with the trunk still a little open. i had to tie it shut. don't know if that helps.

yeah, the silvia hood is gonna be the same dimensions up top as a US hood

and a S14 hood WILL fit in the back of an element...actually, the entire cosmetic front end of an S14 will (headlights, bumper, hood, fenders, grille) easily
