Need to disable power steering... What size belt?

As I previously posted in another thread, my power steering hose is screwed, and I don't really have time to replace it. It seems the best solution is to just disable it for now by taking off the belt. I noticed in the FSR that it's also connected to the water pump, I'll need a shorter belt. For those who have done it, what size belt do I need? Also, anything else that I should know? It's a 93. Thanks in advance.

you could just get a tape measure and see how long the belt needs to be. cut the old belt and wrap it around the crank pulley and water pump. get your local part store idiot to compare the size to other belts they have.

When you measure it, take that measurement, use the letters that start the model number of your belt and take into the parts store, the belt will have a number in the p/n, that is the length (like 31-32 or some shit like that) all you do is subsititute your measured length in there for what you removed, that is how we did when I shitcanned A/C

Ganked from my first search result.

That belt is a tight fit so here is the procedure for getting it on.
loosen all the bolts on the crank pulley and leave two on (the top ones), loosen the water pump bolts but leave two on (the bottom ones), then slide the belt on and press the belt on hard while turning the crank. Slowly after maybe 3-5 turns of the crank it will be completely on. then put on and tighten all the bolts. Do a simple test run, see if everything is ok.
This is the belt I, and many other people are using, though there is little-to-none belt deflection.
Next time I replace the belt, I think I could do it without unbolting anything, just turning the crank and letting it work itself on.
About 4500K put on it and no problems yet, just a little stiffy..

Thanks SilviaSativa, just the information I was looking for. Didn't see it in search. I wouldn't have been able to take my belf of to do measurements, since the S13's my only ride right now. Thanks for the help, everyone.

Will this be able to hold up for an extended period of time? Also is the AC pump belt connected to anything else besides the crank?

by the way, a 270k4 with one rib cut off fits perfectly that extra "3" gives it just the right amount of deflection

wont having no belt deflection mess up the water pump's bearing? the belt tension is supposed to have up to 10mm of deflection or it might be too tight...
