Hey there, as you probably know I made a deal for a 95 240sx se for $6300, I'll be getting it when I sell my 89 celica.
anyways, when I took the 240 onto the freeway, the steering wheel vibrates back and forth, when i got faster than 65 the vibrations get closer together, and the steering wheel doesn't align straight. My question is... does the car just need a wheel alignment?

Most likely a bent rim or your wheels/tires need a high speed balance. This is a notorious problem with s13. The wheel vibrates at 65mph, disappearing as speeds decrease or increase.
I got rid of my "most" of my wobble by replacing tie rod ends, tension rods, and alignment. These are other areas which may cause this wobble. But I would check your wheels firsts, see if they are bent. If so, swap and test drive again. Good luck.

you probably threw one of the lead weights...you might need to get your wheels balanced...i was experiencing the same problem last weekend...got my wheels balanced and it's all better...
