Hey there, as you probably know I made a deal for a 95 240sx se for $6300, I'll be getting it when I sell my 89 celica.

anyways, when I took the 240 onto the freeway, the steering wheel vibrates back and forth, when i got faster than 65 the vibrations get closer together, and the steering wheel doesn't align straight. My question is... does the car just need a wheel alignment?

Most likely a bent rim or your wheels/tires need a high speed balance. This is a notorious problem with s13. The wheel vibrates at 65mph, disappearing as speeds decrease or increase.

I got rid of my "most" of my wobble by replacing tie rod ends, tension rods, and alignment. These are other areas which may cause this wobble. But I would check your wheels firsts, see if they are bent. If so, swap and test drive again.

Good luck.
