Ok heres the problem, im waiting for the Greddy turbo kit to come out, but i was just thinking that it would be pointless to get headers and intake and stuff since it comes with a turbo kit, so can you guys and gals give me some suggestions on things to get that will improve my performance and can still be used when i get the turbo, i know that Ignition is one thing, but i need more ideas, BTW i am just going to Turbo the KA, it just seems like a better Idea

There's really not a whole lot that you can do. If anything, I would work on the suspension and brakes, and nothing else. Honestly though, if you say you don't have enough money to get it when it does come out (why go greddy though, just cause it's CARB approved? bleh), then save your money until you do have enough. Unless you focus on one aspect of the car at once, you will never get it done.

you do not want plugs and wires.. because for n/a u want hot wires and for turbo's u want cold.. (i think thats how it goes ).. someone smarter should be able to tell you this.. that is what i've heard anyway.

I'm kinda in your same shoes but here's what I thought about it and how I'm proceeding. At first I was just gonna wait till I do save up enough for a turbo kit, but then I thought about it, there's so much other stuff that you need to do b4 you go turbo. Like as one person mentioned suspension, brakes etc. So I took this approach, of all the performance stuff you could buy what couldn't you use, all I came up w/ was an intake, ecu, and a header, which I know I can sell really fast. So I found a used intake and header and bought them now that parts over w/. Now if you buy and exhaust just get 2.5 in piping and that will suffice for when u first get your turbo so that doens't need replacing right away. Next suspension, well your gonna need that going fast or slow hehe(imho). Next you can buy a performance clutch, I'd get a Act 6 puck as your gonna need some grip when you turbo, it's not as harsh as it sounds plus it's cheaper than a street disk. Next you can get a lightened flywheel (still usable w/ turbo). Brakes well who doesn't wanna stop, except when accelerating . Rims, well doesn't make you faster but get's more grip on the road. I'm not sure if you have a lsd but you might want to invest in one of those as they add grip to the road and make driving your car seem like day and night. Short shifter, ok doesn't make you faster but well once you drive with one you'll understand . So I guess what I'm saying getting an intake (injen is pretty much the standard) and a header (the greddy header is nice) isn't a huge investment considering you shouldn't have a hard time getting rid of them and if you don't want to buy those well there's a ton of other stuff you could get that would help increase your speed like a lightned flywheel, exhaust, clutch(well it makes sure you don't lose the power you already got), a lightwieght pulley works wonders(there's a low buck upgrade that's worth it), a high flow cat.??,

Well there's my $.02, ultimately it's your decision, enjoy and have fun sorry if some of what I said sounds repetitive,

A 3 inch exhaust, though you'll loose some low end in the mean time if you do.

The suspension/brakes and clutch suggestions are good though.

2.5" is for n/a, 3" is for turbo, you have way more air flow w/ a turbo, that's why it calls for a 3" pipe but u can run a 2.5 initially. Best turbo kit, it's really hard to say, but for something new your going to need to spend between 3k to 5k from what I've seen out there. Fmax has a nice kit but it's pricey for there stage 2 which is what I would like to get, but I would settle for something cheaper, hehe . Xs engineering makes a kit and Nsport. I believe there's a few others. I"m pretty sure someone in this forum has had a discussion on it before. Well that's my $.02

Yeah, here's the list of sstuff you can get:

Exhaust: Apexi N1
Clutch: ACT 2600 or Clutchmasters Stage III
Fuel Pump: some 255lph pump should do
Turbo Timer: Greddy, HKS

I don't know how many miles you have, but a compression/leakdown test is never a bad idea. What kind of tires do you have (rhetorical)? Make sure you'll be able to put that power to the ground.

Since you're going turbo and you're going with Greddy, I'm guessing you're going to get something like a TD0620Gturbo charger or something. You should get larger injectors(somewhere around 550cc), a larger capacity fuel pump, the clutch can be either a strong single plate or a twin plate. You're intake is going to be a bottleneck with the stock AFM so you can either upgrade to a Z32 on or just use some kind of standalone system or VPC or something to take the AFM out of the picture. Something to control the fuel, You might as well get a VLSD or better if you're upgrading to a turbo but its not required, its just the thought of having a 200+ HP one wheel bandit. You'll want atleast a boostgauge, but I would get boost, oilpressure, oiltemp, water temp, exh temp(important),and maybe a knock sensor.

What about an electric fan & moving the battery to the trunk? Maybe a oil filter relocation kit. Got a good car alarm? Just a few ideas.
