WTF happen?
alright so i was driving today and then all of a sudden i hear a clunk sound and then my rear locks up and my ebrake got stuck down... i check everything and found out my axle broke in half or something... where the output shaft and the axle meet... the axle is all warped and the output shaft seems to be bent.... i have nismo 2 way inside so its lockd up i cant move my car at all... do you guys think that my internals in the lsd is fukd up now too since the out put shaft is bent? i cant move the car right now its just infront of my friends house

How'd your axles get warped???
Did you check to make sure that the gear teeth matched up right? I'd think that if those gears didn't match up correctly (in the middle) that it'd end up grinding, and eventually, locking up. |

i have no idea... ill check it tomorow... that diff i been using for a long time... i had it on my other car and everything... mannn this makes me mad... i hope my lsd is ok.. it seems like the output shaft is bent tho... =(

I've got some output shafts laying around in my garage if you want em. And you are pretty close, so gimme an amount you are willing to spend on those shafts. I'll probably give them to you dirt cheap.

ill try to get pictures up later today... well the output shaft isnt the part that is worring me... i hope the lsd internals are ok =( thats the part thats worring me i dont wanna spend almost a grand to replace it =*(

Rear ends break and lock up all the time, it's no fun, usually when it happens as you described the insides are all jacked up, AKA not fixable. Sorry to hear.

I THINK the reason why it broke was cuz i tighten the bolts w/ a adjustable wrench and a normal wrench... and i heard the adjustable wrench doesnt really tighten good... so i guess most of the bolts fell off... and then the last 2 just ripped off... and bent one of output flanges... =*( lol whata expensive lesson to learn....

when using an impact gun to retighten those bolts, did you do them to spec? Did you tighten everything else and made sure the right shims and output shafts were in the right sockets? Did you test your teeth before actually, and fully installing them? Any kind of loose debris can fuck up your diff. What kinda gearoil did you use? And you've got a Nismo GT Pro?

i dont think the lsd is fukd up... like the output shaft is bent a little and the axles... the bolts i was talking about are the ones that connect the axle to the outputs... theres like 5 of them... i guess i didnt do it tight enough =(
