so.cal- who can do a auto to manual conversion on a 95 240sx?

i need help guys, i just swaped out what i thought was a bad auto tranny for another auto tranny from the exact same year as my 240 (95) and its doin the exact same problem!!! it goes into first like normal, taking off from a complete stop is like normal, it shifts to second but it doesnt go into 3rd or o.d. i got it to shift into all 4 gears one time but that was it. i wasted my day and money, and filter, seal and fluid. im stumped! now i just want to find some1 local in socal 951/909 or anywhere near to do my auto to manual swap. ill get it to go into 3rd and forth and fifth!!!! please someone help. i now have 2 auto trannys that must b good if its doin the exact same thing before i even had it swaped.

i actually dont think it's your tranny. It's a sensor on the head. My mom's acura integra had the same problem. I wasn't sure what was fixed, but i just remember my dad pulling the head off the b series block. It's electrical for sure tho..

I too can do the swap, but alas i'm nor cal as well

but yah.. if it's the same problem after you switched the tranny, chances are it's NOT the tranny.
pull your ECU codes
