I have had a walboro 255lph pump in my S13 240 for about 2 years now. Never had a problem with it at all. But latley i can hear it pretty loud. It makes a high pitched whirling noise and it gets louder the more throttle i give the car. I have never noticed this before. I have already had one SR blow because of a pointless problem, i dont want another. Does this sound like a problem?

sounds normal to me although i have no sound deadening or seats to muffle the noise but the high pitched whine is just the pump running

pump whining is normal. i dont hear it anymore i always have my wwindows down

Mine seemed to whine louder after a couple of autocrosses, so I checked it out and it ended up being, that it came off the bracket and the increased noise was from the pump resonating against the body. Might want to check it out.
