wastegate signal after fmic install

i'm putting off installing my front mount intercooler because i keep hearing mixed things about where to run the line from the wastegate. i've been reading about people running the line to the hotpipe, cold pipe, or a nipple from the throttle body. to me it makes more sense to have it on the cold pipe because thats the way it is stock. but then there are those who say the line should be on the hotpipe so it can have a shorter line and be closer to the compressor. if u have a boost guage, would you want to know what you are boosting BEFORE or AFTER the pressure drop from the intercooler? i will be using a hallmans manual boost controller (also not yet installed) if that makes a difference. i've been searching but everyone is giving mixed thoughts on this matter.

can i please have the knowledgeable persons on this forum give me an answer and supporting reason/s why one is better than the other?

Here's the lowdown. The closer to the turbo the sooner the wastegate will crack open since there is little pressure drop. Also at this location, you will be able to tell if all the pressurized air is making it to the intake since you are reading boost from the intake manifold.
With the signal on the cold side of the piping you could have a massive boost leak and the wastegate wouldn't know it. Your turbo would be working extra hard to make the set amount of boost. I say go on the hotpipe. closest to the turbo as possible, before the BOV too.
