S14 Kouki Extra Brake light install

It has always bothered me that Nissan didnt put functioning lights in the "vanity" panel on the trunk lid of the kouki. The red lenses are there, but no lights. Since I also have a phobia of being rear ended, I decided to make use of the vanity panel and put my own additional brake lights in.
The lights I used are an LED sealed unit from the heavy trucking industry, made by a company called Trucklite.I dont remember the part number, but they have a lot to choose from.

Here are the pics, I dont have the panel installed on the car yet, hopefully this weekend.

It would look a lot better if you could light up the whole red area.

for wiring, just splice into one of the normal brake lights and run the wires up to the trunk lid inside the loom that has the wiring for the reverse lights. Since LED's take a very small amount of current, you wont blow any fuses.
I have not done this part yet, but it should be easy.
I will try to take some pics of the mounting if I remember.

Maybe the brake light wire? Just a thought, seeing as how he's using them for brake lights.
