How do I check if my ignitor chip is good? Is there anyway of checking it with a multimeter?

yea the spark plugs are fine. i took out the coilpack and put a screw driver in it and layed it on something grounded (valve cover). cranked it and no spark. i checked the wires leading up tho the coilpacks. one was ground, the other one was 12 volt. and the other one didnt read out anything.

In a word, no. There is no way to check an ignitor, unless you have an electrical test bench where you can put power to it.

yes you can, but you will need the fsm.

you have to check continuity across the leads. The fsm shows you how.

it's on page EC-202 (p.337) of the S-14 manual.

you can find the fsm on this site or on www.zeroyon.com

the chip does not have to be plugged in to check continuity... all it does it test the circuit across the leads...

if if tests bad like mine did, you can gently crack it open and you should be able to see the broken wire. remove the sticky gel packing and apply a small solder to repair the wire... done. 10 minutes tops.

did you use the fsm to check or just check straight across the leads?

do you see any burn marks on the board?
