BOV mounting/recirculating
I'm forming some ideas about my BOV positioning in the engine bay. Nothing quite seems to be pointed in the right direction. The flange for the BOV either points it towards the firewall, or at about 4:30, and neither is especially helpful in getting the discharge recirculated to the stock rubber SR intake tube. I have no idea how to re-clock the flange other than cutting it off and re-welding it and that's really not an option.
Would you guys mind posting some pics of where your BOV is mounted, and how you've recirculated it? TIA |

Go get it cut and rewelded. Pay someone to do it. You don't need to do it yourself. It's that or you can just go buy hoses that have bends and link them together with brass fittings to meet up with your recirc fitting. It'll make your engine bay more cluttered though.

![]() You can barely see it but it's under the cold pipe (almost impossible to tune but looks nice =) I used Home depot clear tube and brass plumping pipe bends. They'll have everything you need.

i've seen bov's on the hot side and cold side of the ic...Does it matter? Is there any performance difference? it would be easier to recirc. the bov if its on the hot side...but the pressure surge will have to go thru the IC then to the bov, fairly close to the turbine.

its better to have on cold side close to the throttle body. The reason manufatures of FMIC kits put their BOV flange on the hot side is so that you could easily recirculate. I have my BOV on the cold side and im recirculating also... hose running across the engine bay (=

I use Enjuku's hot pipe and their welded bung is actually threaded, so mostly any flange can be used as long as it matches threads. Essentially, you can turn the flange any way you want and face the BOV any way you want, just make sure to use something to make sure it seals well, some kind of taflon tape. If you need a pic of mine, go to my thread at:
