RS*R GTII exhaust ***sound clips inside***

since about 4-5 people wanted to hear what the RS R GTII sounded like on a KA I decided to make a seperate post about it.
now the important stuff, everything that I have put on that might afffect the tone:
ARC induction box
RS*R 3" downpipe
catco 3" hi flow cat
and of course the RS*R GTII exhaust itself

in the clips when I hold the throttle open, it was at 3K RPM (aout what it is at going down the highway at 75MPH)

*******************EDIT LINKS CHANED AND NOW WORK***********

With the silercer in:

http://www.savefile.com/files/5773021

With the silencer out:

http://www.savefile.com/files/8751686

note the exhaust is so loud with the silencer out that the camera mic sounds shitty, but if you stand back there it is about what you haer too. it is defening with the silencer out

Thank you for the post, I'm definately getting this exhaust. So was the ARC induction box worth the money?

well I only paid a little over $100 for the induction box, so it was good for me, for those that pay the about 200 prices that I've seen probibly not. if you do put that in you definately have to remove the breather box in front of the wheel well to realize it's full potential. that and it really does look nice, stands out and looks veary clean

Do you have any pics of the ARC induction box? I didn't know you can make it work with a KA24DE.

you have to want to make it work (ie make supports off of stock mounting bolts, and remove the lower air box) I used 2 pieces of the metal tape with holes in it that stereo installers use to make the offest right, I supose If i plan on keeping the KA, I would fassion a solid piece and apaint it black to match the engine bay

here's a pic

of course the battery has been moved since then to make way for the intersooler, but it's a start

Hey so do you have KA-T or KA, cuz in the pics it looks like KA, but you listed a 3" DP as one of your mods...unless if that pic is old.

I have a KA not KA-T the 3" downpipe is there because it fits the SR that Is somewhere in the pacific working it's way back from japan, just tossed in on in the mean time because I was bored, bur it makes a noticable differance put in get up and go, because the stock one is about 1-1.5in and has a built in ectra catilitic converter that I chucked. by the way if your from oregon, ther is no emmission standards so bye bye emmissions gear. but mostly I was just bored. and everyhting bolts right up, no modifications needed.

i think the video is definitely making it sound worse than it really is, its way too grainy

i'd want one but it seems like a totally straight pipe with no cat? will it pass smog even?! is that sucker street legal?

i got to hear a Blitz Nur Spec R on a NAKA, and it was freakin LOUD (unsilenced)...and i'm told the GT2 is even louder, so i'm wary of getting one on an NAKA.

yeah like I said before, a smog test for me is that if other drivers can see through the cloud of smoke your car leaves behind it passes. love being from a state with non emmissions laws.

yeah spme counties hace self imposed emmissions rules, but tree huggers have tried and failed many times to pass a state wide emmissions laws, we aren't short on tree hugging hippies who start pettitions, but they are short on support. I dont think that they will ever pass an emmissions law based on the fact that the state would have to impound 2/3 of the vehicles on the road today. POS and off road vehiles and make up a large automotive percent here. but time will tell
