S14's have 2 pressure sensors. One is the MAP and Barometric sensor(the one you are holding). The other is the Evap Pressure sensor.

You have to watch out cause when mine went the parts store and the dealership gave me the Evap sensor rather than the Map. They have a different voltage sweeps and the ECU doesn't like it. It took the dealer a day and a half of tracing to figure it out.

The major difference is in the vacuum nipple. The MAP one comes straight out where as the EVAP has a 90* bend in it. If they give you the one below, don't take it.

The two models:

OMG, 4 bar map sensor, now I can finally eliminate my MAF. J/k, anybody know what they use the map sensor for, seeing how there's no turbo, and there already is a MAF.

S14's do fuel trim by MAF and IAT/MAP. When mine went I had a dyno day and I went 18:1 and then shut it down. Replaced it then came back to normal.

So as far as function goes.. is the MAP sensor necessary? For anything other than emissions.. I didn't clearly understand the IAT/MAP comment..
