i would like to nominate bbp for newbie of the month. his contributions include diagnosing my clutch issue, giving vital help to someone with spark plug problems, helping with a brake pad install........and for the love of god he's a race car driver.......S14 in ITS.....so all you other new guys.....be more like bbp

IT racing is SCCA "Improved Touring" Road Racing. &nbsp;They host races at major road race course (mid ohio, watkins glen, laguna seca etc...) &nbsp;around the country. &nbsp;The rules are designed to keep costs down, limited prep. &nbsp;Basically you can add a header, some minor machining to the motor, suspension is somewhat open, no body mods, gut interior with full cage, DOT race tires, open exhaust, with soome other stuff but that is the idea.

I run against BMW 325, 2nd gen RX7, old 240z, 280z. &nbsp;I'm a bit down on power against some of those, but hope to make up for it in the corners as the 240sx handles GREAT!

I had my first go in 94 with a CRX (ya ya i know <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':crazy:'> ) but I was in school and learned how expensive it can be. &nbsp;

If anyone is in Ohio, I could always use some crew guys to help out, you will learn ALOT!!

don't forget about Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs.....we have IT too &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'> i think our rules try to stay similar to SCCA so that we can have drivers compete in both series', where there are differences, i know they're minimal because i talk to drivers that run SCCA as well......so if you're ever interested in joining MCSCC bbp, let me know......we run at Grattan and Gingerman as well, which are both in michigan and should be somewhat close to you.

how long you been involved with SCCA and what have you been involved with in the past??
