For those of you who dont know me, and thats all of you, Im an automotive Journalist and I write new car reviews and test drive articles for a few different publications here in Ontario.

Here are some of my pictures from a roadster special I did the past two weeks.

I spent a week in the new MX5
Awesome, fun, involving little car. Too girly for me but still sexy. 170 horsepower and six speed.

Here is another.

This model has ABS, LSD, 6 speed, cloth seats, and a nice stereo. It makes a nice car to drive if you like the 240. Its a similar experience but a lot sharper and more refined (yes, cause its newer)

When I gave Mazda their MX5 back, I went and tried something out that had no roof and two doors, but was just a little different, and twice as much money

The SRT6 is explosively fast. 13's in the quarter. Makes children gawk and scares the crap out of most females. 330 horsepower supercharged, and porsche 911 performance for nearly 50 grand less.

I didnt want to give this one back...but the Mazda was far more of a drivers car.

The SRT6 does have a ton of grip, and ridiculous stopping power but it doesnt really show it off as readily. As well, you cant really shut off the traction assist, meaning no real excessive sideways stuff in the corners.

OMG, i want it now. Handles like a dream, and everyone that says its a chicks car, you obviously haven't driven the miata.

MX5 is girly cause of the styling. It looks like a tadpole from the front. Its not angry or menacing or agressive, more kind of....happy

i can tell you having driven the pair for 4 hours each on busy highways, no one gets out of your way in the mx5 and EVERYONE gets out of your way in the SRT6 (often cause your closing in on them at about 220 kms)

im shocked i havnent seen an SRT-6 where i live. i see every other new car WAY before it comes out. hell, i saw the HHR and the neon replacement like a year ago. and the current body mustang in late 03. im just suprised i havent seen them around yet.

The SRT6 is going after a very very small market. At the price they want for it (nearly $70000 canadian) you could be looking into something like an M3 or maybe a new Vette, both proven competent performers.

But for $70,000 you get 911 cabrio performance for nearly 50 grand less...its a gorgeous car but I think often overlooked for bigger names.

I got a Charger RT this week..and it feels slow cause i was driving that SRT6

having an open top, nimble car is awesome.

And being as they are so light, they pick up quick.

AND everyone underestimates the Miata.

AND!!!! You can pick up chick with it cuz it looks cute.
