hi, i got a new axle in the mail, and when i got it the end cap was off, this is a rear axle btw. anyhow, i put the cap back on and forgot to re pack the the axle up with grease, should i pop the cap off and repack it? there was still grease in it, but i cant seem to get the cap off.
is it super bad to run on it if the axle end isnt packed?

i would make sure its fully packed or youll have problems do you mean the rubber boot over the joint look it over make sure theres no holes in it

if i were you, i would pop the end cap off and put enought grease on it.. and poping it out is easy, all you have to do is put the axle on vise and then push the rod against the cap hard, and it will pop out. at least that's how it did it.

def fully pack it or you will be replacing it quite soon and going thru the same ordeal
