eBayers, I need help! I got gipped

What can I do?

I bought a super nintendo on eBay, and it said it worked and looked great.

a. it looked like shit, i had to clean it for 15 minutes to make it look presentable
b. it barely works. I have to take games in and out and in and out for them to finally work.

If she won't refund my money, how do I file a dispute with eBay?

How did you pay? You file the dispute through paypal if you paid that way, or through your bank if you used a check. If you used a money order, you can try to go to the company the paid out the MO.. but they don't usually care that much.

Then, leave negative feedback, and click on the 'help' button on ebay, and search around for what you can do. I know that you can file a complaint with ebay about misrepresentation, which doesn't really do anything until they get a few complaints on one user.

did u talk to the lady first before filing a complaint usually you both can work something out.... other then making the situation larger

I use to blow on the games before I put them in...

if that doesnt work.. take ur shirt cover it and then blow into it...

if she doesn't give you your money back, here are some ways to help you revive that snes

1. Get a cotton Q tip and dip the end of it in diluted rubbing alcohol.
2. slowly wipe the little metal contact strips on the bottom of the cartridge, going up and down along the stripes.
3. get those little "Duster Can" things and blow out the inside of your snes.

let it sit, blow it again with your mouth, then wala!

I only posted this because its how i revived my snes, and now it works like a charm

Blowing with your mouth into NES or SNES = not-a-good!

Saliva contains various bacterias, etc., that will deposite on the metal strips. If you had to clean it up with 91% alcohol soaked Q-tips, then why would you blow on it? It's like going back to square one.

Just clean it with the alky, then let it evaporate, make sure you don't keep cleaning the strip with a dirty Q-tip.

My friend is a huge game collector and schooled me on how to clean NES's and SNES's.

yea, we all know that alchohol is suppose to clean it .... but ... coughing on it works even better.. ask ur friend about old ass dusty nasty systems... alchy does shit =) hahah
