Energy suspension tie rod boots.

My tie rod ball joint boots are ripped/cracked. Can i just replace the boot with the energy suspension one? The solution seems too cheap to be true.

i'm talking about these...

You're ASE Suspension Certified and you're asking this question? Wow.

Does that mean he knows what a blown rod end looks like or not???

If the rod end is blown you will have to replace it. Usually if the boot stays intact unless the rod end blows out and crushes it. Post pics of the ends.

answer the question, instead of wasting your own time with a remark like that.

its a specific question about the energy suspension bushings. that is all. i already have the replacement ball joints, i just want to know if i needed the boot with the ES bushing, so

The stock will be fine if at stock ride height. The ER's are to help out with the angle of lowered cars. Dunno if they help with bump steer. But, they do help with excessive wear at the extreme angles. But, at that point, relocating rod ends are a good idea.

Save your money and use the ones that came with the replacement rods.

thank you. but i still dont know if the ES parts are replacements for the boots, or are supplements to the boots themselves. this is just for future reference now. i will use the ones that came with the new rod ends.
