it should be a bolt on thing, the only extra wires is a blue and green wire that needs to be wired to the switch for it to fold

Those are not folding mirrors if you have those colors. Folding mirror wires are green/black and light green/black for both S13 and S14.

To elaborate more, the folding section is only two wires, in and out, they're reversal rest at ground through the switch, just like a window or door lock motor. The mirror itself should have yellow, blue, and pink for adjustment. If you don't have any of these wires you may not even have an Schassis mirror, I know the Primera/G20 units will fit with a little work but do not use the same color wiring and R32 units work on S13s as well. Take a picture of the plugs for reference.

To elaborate a little more, reversal rest at ground means you have 2 wires coming out of the motor and hooked up to the switch. At rest, both these wires are grounded. When you move the switch one way, one wire will read +12V while the other is grounded. When you move the switch the other way, the opposite wire shows +12V and the other one is grounded.
This way, current can flow through to the motor, and depending on which position the switch is in, the corresponding wire will be +12V and grounded through the other wire. I don't know the wire colours specifically, but they both should go to the switch. You don't need to ground them. Just hook them up the right way to the switch. |

the mirrors have a little protection circuit which cuts the power when the load goes high (as in the mirror is either full open or closed), you could leave it powered but its best not to.
if you have no switch you can do the honda mirror controller mod (this also allows the mirrors to fold with the alarm) see www.sxoc.com for the honda mirror guide that i wrote. C.
