auto and manual starters the same?

I'm gonna do a 5sp swap on my car and want to know if I can use the automatic starter. will it work w/ a 5 sp? thanks

SR20 auto and manual starters are different. I don't know about KA starters; but I would guess they're different also.

To the original poster, yes you can use the auto starter.
There is a Auto to 5 speed swap faq. In the archives and faq section.

The parts stores I have looked at online have no differentiation between auto and manual starters when comparing part numbers.

^^^ What he said, see above post, KA24e and DE are different, but DE starters have been the same as far as I have seen.
