Does this board not accept 'angelfire' hosting for pictures?? had nice shots but couldn't get em to work.
Anyways, has anybody painted their interior vents, or even was just curious some time and taken them out of their sockets??
I got a '97 240sx LE (pic below) and I got the 2 corner vents on the dash out by wiggling and pulling (no screws), but the other pieces bend like they are gonna soon break. Here's a list of what I couldn't get out:
-driver and passenger side vents next to door handle
-2 center vents rite above the stereo
-Rear speaker covers
-tricky front mounted long defrost vent below front windshield
Any tips on any part helps alot!!

Dude! Those are the easiest ones!!! Anyways... the side vents on the door, you have to remove the entire door trim piece. There are 3 or 4 screws on the bottom and 1 plastic retainer on the top outer part of the door. There are several christmas tree retainers inside, so you have to pull up and towards you to get the trim off. The ones above the stereo, you pull the bottom towards you (there are 2 metal clips there) then pull it down and forward b/c there are 2 more clips holding it, and it comes out diagonally forward and down. The rear speakers, pull down the rear seat, and you have to lift up the entire rear deck lid which is held by 5 christmas tree retainer clips. Go slow, and don't go ripping stuff out.

Sweet!! Ok, but let me get this straight:
-For the center vents above the stereo, are u talking about pulling the bottom of the whole piece that has the 'Defrost' and 'Hazard' buttons on it?
-And those christmas tree clips ur talking about, are they actually the shapes of christmas trees?
Btw did u paint your vents too Flipboi??
