SR timing chain cover? help!

OK, I don't have an FSM, and I need to know what to do about my timing chain. The cam sprocket punch marks are 4 links "behind" the shiny links (e.g. shiny link is "zero" counting to the left looking at the front of the engine, the punch mark lines up with the 4th link on both intake and exhaust camshafts). the crank pulley has 6 markings on it that line up in the general area of that indicator that sticks out above it. I am thinking two things, either:
A) jumped timing, need new chain and such
B) timing is fine, just the chain is a little out of position (e.g. everything is timed correctly, but the shiny links are ALL 4 links away from the punch marks)

i need to get the chain cover off, i got all the bolts removed on the chain cover, and it looks like there are two vertical bolts that are removed from the top, but one is blocked by the exhaust cam sprockt "extension" (gear that turns CAS).

someone please let me know how to get this cover off so i can see if my timing chain is OK or not.

thanks,
JJ
