loose flywheel

I had all my flywheel bolts loose when my friend and I took out the motor today because it was knocking. Plus, it had a hard time starting. I check the connecting rods but they're all fine.

Questions:
  • Does it sound like a spun bearing? Like the bottom end is gone?
  • Does it have anything to do with starting the car?
We had a hard time taking the flywheel off the main, we had to tap that thing off with a hammer. What should I do about this? Get the main hole on the flywheel machined to make it a little bigger??
