Kaaz owners, have you ever noticed...?
Two things grabbed my attention this evening about my newly installed 2-way. After installing the diff I ran up to a parking lot to do the break in. Before I got started, I crawled under the car to feel the rear cover. A friend of mine had a guy set up/mess up some gears in his F150, and after the install he noticed that the housing got really hot. since that was fresh on my mind, I thought to check. I'd say I drove about 15miles and the temperature was warm to the touch. After the break in I crawled back under there and noticed it was fairly hot, and my vent line had leaked fluid into the frame...
Has anyone ever noticed if their clutch types generate a bunch of heat? Another thing I noticed, with the car in the air, if you rotate the tires a tiny amount forward and backwards, there seems to be a slight amount of play between the axles and drive shaft. Have you ever noticed that as well? The diff seems fairly quite, no gear winning or abnormal sounds, just the usually locking noise, so I'm fairly confident its okay just curious.
