Emissions Delete Q's (Pics Inside)
Cleaned up the intake manifold and got rid of all the emission components. I also bypassed the throttle body coolant feed. Here's a little checklist that I'd like you guys to check to see if I made a mistake. Don't want to have to go through all of this when the motor is in the car..
Basically, the only things I have connected on the plenum are the IACV components. I removed ALL the EGR components and blocked off the hole with a plate. The vacuum "tree" with the 4 lines that run from the rear of the manifold, all the way under the TB leading to the charcoal canister has been removed completely. Is this ok? A thick coolant line ran with the vacuum tree, but I just picked up a new hose to connect the rear of the manifold to the port next to the upper radiator hose (as seen in the picture). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() EGR Block off plate ![]() Coolant hose going from rear manifold to the port coming off of the upper radiator port ![]() Throttle Body Bypass, I plugged the little port coming off of the larger port. I also plugged the port that the TB usually connects to on the upper IM. Will this be ok, or will I need to connect these two? I'm not 100% sure if the plugs will hold the pressure. ![]() ![]() Couple questions.. WHat do I do with that port coming out of the bottom of the TB? Plug it? ![]() Iirc, will this port coming out of the center of the manifold need to be plugged? ![]() Any input would be greatly appreciated. Really want to get this motor put back together! |
