S14 KA24DE issues

So recently I've purchased my first 1995 s14 with a KA24DE fully stock DOHC. My issue is that what i've recently discovered when on the freeway, my cluster is glitched btw and it's off by 30-50 mph. im assuming the tachometer isnt working properly as well. As i was going on the freeway, assuming im about 50-55 mph on the very right lane, i've tried pressing more on the gas pedal, trying to gain more speed, but as soon as it gets to a point, it stops, my car "lunges" in a way and doesnt allow to go any faster, it seems as if i try to apply more gas to go faster, it cuts off and does not allow me to go any faster beyond 50-55 mph im assuming that's how fast i was going. Everything seems to work fine, my assumption for the reason why my cluster is glitched is because my car has an s13 speed sensor on an s14 transmission and ecu? I've recently researched as to why the cluster was being like that and I've came to a conclusion that the s13 speed sensor does not work with the s14, and it might cause the reason as to why my car wont go any faster. I'm fairly new to my car, i'm trying to learn as much as I can. But so far ive been leaning towards the conclusion it has something to do with the MAF? I'm just guessing by now. it would be great if someone could enlighten me please. tell me what i should do, what i should check.
