BluVantage Boost Controller Review

Quick overview of the boost controller.

The boost controller is a good product. It has typical parts as to other boost controller have which would include.

the electronic sensor
sensor harness
typical dual air solenoid
bracket for mounting the solenoid
vacuum hoses
typical 1/4" and 5/32" barb fittings
air muffler for the solenoid

The product is a very well build. The electronic side is well made when i opened up the sensor. The solders looked good well taken cared of when made, I'm not going to go further of details for the electronic parts inside the sensor plastic because of copy infringement. The harness was actually pretty long where i am able to solder wires from the fuse box to the motor where i am able to get the sensor working. It was pretty simple to install without complications. But a pain in the ass in the Mazda Speed 3 since it's not as easy as my s13 taking parts of the dash off for the install.

Instructions were simplistic where the anyone was able to understand simple instructions for the average person to install.
The app was easily designed to navigate with ace. The average person can go back and forth to look at the settings.
The consists of:

tooth connection
boost gauge up to 50psi
over boost indication
solenoid connection short
street boost setting
race setting

The good thing is the the boost controller works flawlessly. I didn't have any issues playing with it when installed both cars.
The only thing I wish is that the app have a larger Over boost light so its easier to see where as I'm using it on my Samsung Galaxy 7. I'm not going to use a big bulky tablet in the car to look at the gauges and indicators. I wished it also have is to control boost in different stages when you shift gears where you can adjust the setting to which gear you're on when driving. This where I had to make work with the Mazda Speed 3 because the boost setting is controlled by the stock ecu in different stages when you're in 1st, 2nd, 3rd to 6th gear.

Other than my small little wishes. The boost controller is good for the average person who don't have a standalone ecu or want one.
