Greyhound Package Express Disappointment
After seeing plenty of decent reviews online (mainly in state) regarding people shipping larger items like bumpers and body kits using Greyhound Package Express, I figured I would give it a try.
![]() Well. . . I found an importer who had the Origin bumper in stock that I was looking for. Greyhound being cheaper, I decided I might like to save some money. The bumper departed Oakland, California on October 27th and made its way from California Arizona, to Texas, then to Atlanta, Georgia on November 9th. Updates on tracking didn't change for a couple of days... and only after I called customer service to ask what the hold up was. Customer service placed me on a brief delay the rep informed me "the package went out on November 10th, but an employee forgot to scan the package when it was loaded to head out. . ." The next time I looked at online tracking there was an update showing "loaded outbound, November 10th", this update did not exist until after I contacted customer service. Leading me to believe it was manually entered and that the package was lost or stolen before I even called. Over the last few weeks I've called every few days, asking for updates, and only been told "we have a tracer placed on the package so that if it turns up we will contact you and redirect the package". Ok, no big deal, shit happens, I get it. But they really aren't that apologetic. Then it gets interesting. . . I'm telling my friend about this ordeal, and he explains to me that not 3-4 years ago the same thing happened to him. He had a bumper and lip shipped together from California via Greyhound. The last update he received via online tracking was "Unloaded, Atlanta, Georgia". He never rec'd the parts, Greyhound never refunded for his loss. . . Now I'm thinking this isn't a coincidence. . . I'm in the process now of filing a claim with Greyhound, and if needed I will go through with legal action. It's not the fact that I've lost a $350 bumper, it's the principle of the matter. Why am I posting here? Well, the community looks out for each other. At least that's how I feel, I always see people posting about stolen goods, and sometimes those stories end well. So if you or someone you know are located in Atlanta, Georgia or surrounding areas, please be on the look out for a Kouki S14 Origin Racing Line Bumper. It wasn't a full kit, just a front bumper, so it would stand out on it's own. ![]() Pic included for reference, the bumper would be unpainted and likely still in white gel coat like most Origin pieces. IF you've read this far, thanks for much. If you have some info, please forward it along, if I get the bumper back I'll be happy to issue some reward money. I feel like finding this (if it was in fact stolen) would be easier than filing a claim and getting money back out of Greyhound :/ |
