Not to say I've decided to turbo the KA, just exploring my options.
Say, I piece together a good turbo set and run mild boost (5-6psi) on my 156K mile S13 KA. In the meantime, I buy a newer, low mileage S14 KA and build it up (pistons, rods, etc.). Are there any significant differences between the two forms of this engine that might cause problems when trying to transfer the turbo system components...like turbo exhaust manifold, differences in intake manifold, etc. Why does the S14 redline at 6500? Could I use my tach and still rev to 7K safely? Are there any other differences?
