sr install questions

I'm in the process of swaping in an sr blacktop motor. I have the following questions...

1. It's a confirmed T28 turbo using s14 turbo inlet etc... What hot pipe do I use? The diff in turbo outlet between t28 and t25 is the t28 outlet sits at an angle, around 45deg or so(?) compared to teh t25 outlet. I'm planning on using one of those hotpipes made by greddy. Do I mod hte s13 version OR do i mod the s14 version to fit my application? I'm also assumign I can use the s13 FMIC, the coldpipe should still remain the same, inly the hotpipe is in question... right?

2. Just got done with timing chain. When we hooked it all up we were sure to match the odd colored links with the dots on the sprockets(all 3 of them). When I crank the motor by hand...it goes from tension to having a littel bit of slack. Then if I continue turning... it goes backt o full tension with a little snap(at seems) and I tihnk it taps the top guide. Question - what did Id o wrong with the chain? Should there be that slack? I want to think that the slack is ok, bec at real world high speed rotation it wont see that slack due to the rotational speed. But I want ot be sure. That top guide, is it needed? When I bought the chain they didn't even list a top guide anymore.
