vlsd woes......

ok, so im driving today, and i let off the gas and notice a loud clunk from the rear end.......does it everytime i let off, or if i push the clutch in at moderate/high revs..u know what im talking about.....

so i get home, and jack up the rear and stick it in 1st......turn the wheels and whaddayaknow, same clunk, from the diff........and when the car is in gear, i can rotate the wheels all the way around, w/out hardly any resistance!!!

so, my guess is, my j30 is SHOT TO HELL......just wanted some insight before i went out and bought something and didnt fix the problem......
