s14 stock ka running without muffler?

alright well to put things short, i have a magnaflow exhaust which is probably 2-2.5" (looks tiny) and sliding has caused my muffler part to come off the pipping. but since i can just put it back on and hang the hangers back on i have the choice of having it on and off. ive experimented and it seems that WITHOUT the muffler, i feel greater throttle response. I have a stock cat and a dummy cat on the car. Now my question is, do i lose hp since i don't have much backpressure which is needed for the KA? and if so, how much? i have heard like around 3hp or so.

i'm asking this becuase im going to a drift event and im wondering if i should run the event with or without it. without it sounds so nice and mean with a deep sound.

so basically im asking is:

1) do i lose hp without the muffler on a stock KA because there isn't any backpressure, and how much? lose low end tq?

2) do i really have more throttle response or am i imagining things?

3) should i run with the muffler or without for this drift event?

thanks!
