SR s13 sr megan racing turbo manifold...really hot

For the people that have the s13 redtop sr megan manifold. Has anyone had a problem with it getting so hot that it melts everything? It keeps on melting my silicone elbow for my i/c piping.I know I'm a dumbass and should of wrapped the header before installing it. But Im just curious if it's normal, or if I have a problem on my hands that I'm not seeing. Im currently thinking of making a custom heat shield that wraps around the whole manifold, if anyone has any ideas on that or any other ways of stopping the heat feel free to leave some ideas. I'm trying to avoid taking it off and wrapping it for now, its a lot of work, and I just dont have the time to do it right now.
