post swap issues redtop issues...

First off I have searched and searched to get ideas... but none seem to be as specific a problem as mine... I just finished swapping an s13 redtop into a 91 240sx coupe (had the ka24de motor previously) and it has yet to start... The dash lights stay on after trying to start the car and remain on even with the key removed from the ignition. The red light on the ECU stays on as well. However, when cranking, the red light on the ECU turns off... is this normal?

I have checked and grinded all grounds, added additional grounds from the thermostat and block, moved the battery back to the front, dissconnected power from the altenator, checked voltages (over 11v when cranking), and also rechecked the wiring. I followed heavythrottle.com pin for pin with respect to the wiring. I have checked all fuses and they are good.

The engine has spark and has fuel... the fuel however is strange. It will pump at a continous flow as long as the ECU is on. Even after I cut the FPR wire (blue w/ red stripe) and the 2 power wires for the ECU the fuel remained pumping. All this would happen even with the key out of the ignition.

The motor will crank and crank... even backfire... but it will not start. Its obvious at this point that the electrical issue is holding it back and im running out of ideas.... Im going to try swapping ECUs to see if that is the problem but what else can I check or test? Would a bunk altenator cause this problem? Thanks!
