SR20de wont start

ok so I just got my clutch replaced and they told me my slave cylinder was going out, I have a new slave cylinder that I bought the other day. when my car would start it made a slight screech like it was grinding gears, and now it won't start at all. could this be due to the slave cylinder going completely bad?

also where is the slave cylinder located on the car? any help is greatly appreciated.

the battery is fine, fuel pump is clicking and the connection to the starter is good. I chnged out my oil earlier today and let the car warm up, changed the oil, and then started the car back up again and let it idle with mild revs for about 5 minutes and checked the fluid, it was all good. then when I left to go to work, it didn't start.
