I posted 2 days ago about my tranny that wouldnt shift past 2nd. That was ok for city driving but now my brake lights dont work and my alarm sets off on its own 5 secs after arming it. Somehow they seem to be linked.

Tranny craps, then the brake pedal relay to shift tranny out of park dies, then brake lamps stop working. played around with the bulbs in the rear and got them to come on if i put aftermarket led blubs i had but it would constantly be on. switched back to 1157's in the rear and nothing comes on. my alarm chirped when i removed and installed the bulbs. I checked my alarm for any crossed wires and nothing. I have all the 5 speed plus a rebuilt motor but the city is on my ass about my driveway looking like a mess so i can do the swap for a few more weeks. let me know what you guys think.
