Help..AC RedTop SR to s14..Searched.. Pics.. Ghetto rigged..

well.. i bought my car with the sr redtop swap installed already.. anyway.. the douche i bought the car said the ac was blowing ice cold and he decided to remove the ac belt.. so i check the ac system and it seems that everything is connected.. (but what is this weird metal canister that is attached to my compressor? i tried to wiggle it and it is pressurized and hissed when moved).. hoping for the best i tried to install a belt (as impossible as it was to take off the powersteering belt with that canister right below it).. and when i put on the ac belt and started the car and ac the center wheel on the compressor did not spin.. so im confused.. i know wiring from a red top to a s14 is tricky.. please some one help.. vegas is a hot place..

here are pics.. first is of the lines that are connected to the condenser and the compressor.. the second is the strange metal canister below my ps pump and above my compressor..
