I think this is a great concept and idea. Perfect example of how to turn a car into an artform, as high end BMWs and other cars like it should be. The concept was explain brilliantly, the designer was very articulate and presented the idea clearly. While it may not be directly about "fuel economy", the ideas from concepts trickle down to the mainstream. What do you think F1 is all about. The cars are not only functional but an art form as well. In addition many of the ideas developed for F1 are found in your every day car. The same is true for concepts. This will obviously never see production, but I think it is worth every dime BMW put into it.
