Need suggestions/information on tire "setup"
Well, my high offset wheels caught up with me.
I just got some Ground Control with AGX and got them installed on my S13. I had some decent Ventus Plus 225/50ZR16 tires all around the car. Now my front tires "barely" clear the shocks, but they rub on them. I got a 7 mm spacer and the thing is solved. However, I hate how the car "handles" itself. That is why I need your help. I have though of 2 solutions, which would cost me about the same price. 1. Get longer studs installed on all my hubs with spacers for the rear, hoping everything will equal out. 2. Get some 205/55ZR16 tires for the front. Now, I am actually leaning on the second option because it would give me a spare set of tires for the rear (which will come handy this summer with Auto-X and my newly installed SR20DET). What are the disadvantages of a staggered setup on a HICAS equipped S13? (205 in front, 225 in rear) How will my handling change? Thanks a lot.
